I sincerely express my sincere gratitude to the Discovery Institute for giving me an opportunity to participate in the 2020 CSC Seminar on Intelligent Design in the Natural Sciences at Discover Institute, Seattle USA. I had the opportunity to interact with Discovery Institute Faculty, Intelligent Design proponents across the world and access to informative literature, vital evidences and research that points to Intelligent Design causation. I hold the opinion that Intelligent Design theory should be taught in all learning institutions not only in Kenya but in Africa at large. All learners should be given an opportunity to access alternative theories that explain the origin of life  other than over relying on the theory of macro-evolution. The experience was awesome and urge more scholars to enroll for this important seminar and/or access and read literature on the Theory of Intelligent Design. I sincerely thank Prof. Kjell Tveter and Mr. Dag Kr. Norli for nominating me for the CSC 2020 Summer Seminar on Intelligent Design.

Mission of Discovery Institute

  • The theory of intelligent design holds that certain features of the universe and of living things are best explained by an intelligent cause, not an undirected process such as natural selection

The Theory Intelligent Design

The Discovery Institute runs Two Parallel Programmes:

The C.S. Lewis Fellows Program on Science and Society:

  • The C.S. Lewis Fellows Program on Science and Society explores the growing impact of science on politics, economics, social policy, bioethics, theology, and the arts during the past century

CSC Seminar on Intelligent Design in the Natural Sciences:

  • Prepare scholars to make research contributions advancing the growing science of intelligent design (ID)
  • Explore cutting-edge ID work in fields such as molecular biology, biochemistry, embryology, developmental biology, paleontology, computational biology, ID-theoretic mathematics, cosmology, physics, and the history and philosophy of science
  • The seminar includes presentations on the application of intelligent design to laboratory research
  • Treatment of the academic realities that ID researchers confront in graduate school and beyond
  • Strategies for dealing with challenges
